MultiRail 2006 User Workshop and Rail Planning Conference

The MultiModal Systems Practice of Mercer Management Consulting held a very successful MultiRail User Workshop and Rail Planning Conference on May 25-26, 2006, at the Chauncey Conference Center in Princeton, New Jersey. More than thirty rail executives attended, including representatives from most of the major freight railroads in North America. The conference sessions focused on the use of MultiModal's MultiRail software tools for developing rail operating plans.

All of the attending Class I railroads, including Norfolk Southern, Union Pacific, Canadian Pacific, BNSF, and CSX, made presentations offering insight into the very detailed planning processes and tools used by these large freight railroads. Also presenting were Rodney Case and Robert Reid, members of Oliver Wyman's Surface Transportation practice, and MultiModal staff members.
